- Specialising in tennis, motorsport and football, I am skilled in presenting, commentating and reporting on radio/TV/online as well as hosting and producing audio podcasts.
BIO
Always determined to reach the top in sports broadcasting, I read my first report on BBC radio aged 15 and my career has taken me from Workington AFC to Wembley. With a vivacious, engaging and passionate delivery, I have proven equally suited to radio, television and online broadcasting. I've worked on international events in tennis, motorsport, football and field hockey.
At the same time as achieving a First Class BA Honours degree in Broadcast Journalism, I started working in BBC local radio in the East Midlands where I stayed for 4 years before going fully freelance in summer 2011. With the BBC I have provided full, live commentary on Football League matches, presented popular sports programmes and delivered breakfast show sports bulletins. This allowed listeners to become familiar with my bright and animated style.
My voice can be heard around the world on a regular basis through such companies as TennisTV and UEFA for whom I provide full, live commentaries for the world feed of Champions League and Europa League matches. In addition, some of my work has featured on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday and BBC network programming. A keen language-learner and traveller, I have a high level of French and Spanish, as well as a little Italian and have begun taking Portuguese lessons in preparation for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games to be held in Brazil.
I also proof-reads press kits for UEFA for their Champions League and Europa League fixtures. I was responsible for ensuring accurate facts and stats were distributed for the last two UEFA Champions League finals.
Always a perfectionist when it comes to my own work, my rigorous commitment to producing the highest quality output possible begins long before taking the mic as I pride myself on comprehensive preparation and accurate pronunciation. I'm looking to work on more of sports' biggest events and would be willing to hear about any exciting opportunities.
